It is thru as for gains are usually about 2lbs however if gain 20 is young between 18-25yrs old he can gane a good bit more if he trained consistanly. But 40lbs is pushing it. I did not address...

The diet your on is proof your really following the 20% rule of the diet. That is why you are getting the good results. However, my point is many people are not following the rule of low fat though...

No. Just giving you an example on how my clients do not realize just what there taking in due to them not understanding there calories weight. Fat is a big culprit though. Some do not eat enough...

Not just protein
If you are trying to gain your protein is on point however ,you need carbs and fat too. Make sure you are getting carbs in. See if you take in enough protein but not enough carbs well your strength...
