I agree that there is no single model of technique that must be achieved by every lifter. But there has been enough study of biomechanics and leverages in the lifts to guide us - trying to emulate...

The turn-over from full extension to full flexion...
The turn-over from full extension to full flexion is the tricky part, and the only real way to work on that is to get down into that full squat.

I just take the bar off the rack with the same...
I just take the bar off the rack with the same grip I use for cleans and then squat. I don't use the crss arm grip because it's uncomfortable and really limits the amount of weight I can use.
