Yeah they are shrugging at the end of the lift. But thats not all they do. That doesnt hit the back of the traps, like doing seated rows to the neck. Come on guys, somebody out there has traps...

Just reading your post again... No there isnt another exercise that will accomplish the same thing as benchpressing. Either use machines, dumbbells or barbbell. Thats it. Flies dont do the same...

Well first off, chest=shoulder stress... back=shoulder stress. If it hurt on chest day itll hurt on back day. Is it hurting in the back, front, side or all 3? Does it hurt on top, near your traps...

But its not when the bar is at my chest, its when my arms are extended and I begin the rep. Its that first effort that causes the pinch, once I pull the bar down beyond halfway the pinch stops.

And once it does get better, for crying out loud do some shoulder exercises. Lots of stretching and lightweight. Cut way back on your sets, make sure you hit your chest at all angles not just flat...
