I wouldn't worry about it at all, alot of Elite level bodybuilders and coaches swear by this grip and don't seem to have any noticeable problems with it at all. Infact most of them push more weight...

You won't see any major gains without any weights or a gym to be completely honest, so i'd say get a gym membership or at least invest in a pull up bar or something and do pushups, situps, pullups...
Very difficult to do with ph/steroids etc let alone going natural. very very unlikely you could do it but why not aim for it anyway and get as close as you possible can..
The answer to the title is yes, if you wanna put on the pounds then just eat and rest, you can still do cardio but keep it to a lower level than before and only do it on off days.
