I'm 6' and have what I feel are 'heavy bones' so I still look pretty skinny at this weight. My lifts tanked hard during those 8 years of not lifting, but have steadily increased in the last few...
Here's my current situation:
- Lifted for a few years after college, got up to 183lbs at 14%
- Stopped for like 8 years
- Just got back in, exploded back up in weight due to muscle memory
-...
I'm currently doing a full body split on M/W/F, usually hitting every muscle group for two warm up sets then 3 working sets to failure or near failure.
Example:
Squats (legs)
Incline DB...
It's not a matter of whether I should stop full body splits or not, it's a matter of whether I should increase my number of sets per exercise, or exercises per workout. More of a volume question...
Anyone done this successfully with a stranger? How'd you find them?
I've been working out alone for the past several months, but in the past I worked out with buddies and kinda want to give it...
I'm several years into lifting off and on, would call myself an intermediate lifter. Probably have 20-25lbs of lean muscle growth to go before I get close to my genetic peak, so I have plenty of...
So if we see the majority of the above as broscience, are there no new findings to help with hypertrophy? Just eating a caloric surplus, get a decent amount of protein, sleep a lot, and progressive...
Yes and no - I want to start a short burst back into hypertrophy (~8 weeks) before reevaluating, and want to make the most of my time and money towards nutrition. Want to make sure whatever food and...
Aight brehs I've been out of the game for a few years and am kicking back into heavy lifts again. Feels like every few years, all of the past strategies are considered broscience that don't work. SO....
Something between these two:

sheit on her bench mane
assert your dominance

Hey all, quick question. What are the benefits/reasons behind doing straight sets vs. pyramiding in a DUP routine?
For years I've done either ascending or pyramiding sets with a Monday/Thursday...
Maybe it's because I haven't been here in a while, but what was so weird about that? It's like everyone sees anything past "eat, lift, take a multi" as nonsense. Or was it the cold thermogenesis...
I didn't mean emotional encouragement - just the few things that tend to help when bulking.
Example: If you eat 500 calories of crappy food (sugar, fast food) over maintenance you will gain, but...
Thanks man. Proooobably wasn't clear enough in my OP, but it's the 20% I'm mainly referring to.
Small backstory - over the past few years I've bulked up overall from ~140 to 180. But in the last year I've gone back down to a lean 160 due to travel and other personal issues, and want to regain...
Yeah I just hit keto flu last night and today, feel awful...like I have horrible low blood sugar, which I guess is to be expected. Had some almonds, which helped a bit. Currently on a road trip and...
Hey all,
I'm doing an EC stack + Keto 'cycle' and can't tell if I'm in Ketosis. I've done this cycle before, and once it was super effective, but the second time was only marginally successful....
I agree that the most proportionate / beautiful height is probably 5'7 to 5'10"
Personal preference, 5'5" or 5'6" - then she can wear tall heels and I'll still be taller. But If I found a...
Bumping this thread for new folks.
Just wrapped up ~6 weeks in the Nordics/Scandinavia, which was incredible.
