    its really about how many calories your eating....

    its really about how many calories your eating. find your maitnence and subtract 300-500 from that. make sure to eat 1g of protein for how much you weigh and then fill the rest with fat and carbs.

    If by horsepower you mean energy then i would say...

    If by horsepower you mean energy then i would say he needs to increase his total carb intake. I would try to eat around 400-500g and see if that helps
