Yea, but you gotta know-there's no "good" and "evil" when it comes to food and ****.
Calories is all that matters (so long as you make sure you eat 100g protein daily).
Try 200-250g carbs daily.
Drop calories 200-400 more. Do 100g at least of protein daily.
If still not losing weight (namely waist size) and getting more definition, drop 200 more calories.

Try to cross your arms in an x-shape and hold it that way.
If already doing that, try the clean style of gripping it.
