With this unit you would probably use a slight push off with your hands for momentum until you are able to perform unassisted reps.

I would at least try another form of glove like a thin material full fingered non-weightlifting glove without seams.
I have both and prefer the Legend. Both are excellent but the Legend has more incline positions available. I use the Legend 90% of the time.
