may not work for you but my three day split is as follows,
Chest/Shoulders
Back/Forearms
Legs/Bi's/Tri's

edit- again, your back and chest will need more than two days rest..

3 day split should be fine. 5 day splits are USUALLY for people who isolate one muscle group for the most part. 3 days with the big compounds should be fine

i dont like doing back and chest together just because i like keeping the three major compounds on their own day, squat, deadlift, benchpress. Also your chest and back would need more than 2 days...

like i said ive had the same thing, i know exactly what you mean. the pain will get smaller and smaller the next couple days then go away. but if it doesnt and you are that woriied go see a doctor.

happens to me when i move my head while shrugging. Usually goes away in a couple days.
