Both. Most of the fat gain went straight to my love handles and lower back where I've always had a problem. Lifts have increased so I gained some muscle as well.

Just a quick question - once you got down to this leanness, were you still "soft" to touch when you're unflexed? And when you sit down, does your stomach expand?
Would it be better to do a surplus of 250-500 calories a day above maintenance OR just surplus calories on workout days and maintenance calories on rest days?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does it have to be exactly 8 hour feeding period? For me personally, it'd be better if I had about 9-10 hours to eat if that would still work.
