Got a female friend about 50yrs old. She doesn't have an ACL. Never got it replaced and just strengthened the supporting muscles years and years ago(15+yrs).
Do you have a heartrate monitor? you won't "deplete" your muscle if you are running in your target zones. Do some research into heart rate zone training.

Goal is to refine and define my build. Not looking to "bulk-up". Anything else you would recommend for a 42yr old to get cut and defined beside diet? ;)
