    There is no NCAA league for rugby and teams can play whoever they want. My team is div 2 club team and we play BGSU even though they are div 1 varsity team with scholarships.

    Sounds to me like it helped a lot, you just didn't do any agility work so your sprinting got better compared to your cutting and stuff. Add in some plyometrics with your sprint work.
