it can definitely add to punching power if your punching form is good.
much like how squats add to your running speed, etc

and race has nothing to do with it. if you're broke as ****, no skills/education/experience, no opportunities you're more likely to be pretty hood.

i do my own programming. its similar to 5/3/1 but with more volume, frequency and focus on the competition style lifts
basically 4 week cycles - first week is low intensity high volume, week 4...
morning weight was 187...ramped up to this with quite a bit of sets before
no such thing as functional strength.
but squats and deadlifts have the most "carryover" to general athletic activities.
do you pull sumo? i dont see many conventional deadlifters (even top tier ones) pulling with that much frequency.
