    Lyle Mcdonalds routine looks alright, the only thing i don't like is the upper body routine only has 3 - 4 sets for chest. I want to try it but i would be tempted to at least add some incline flys.

    Both are great for improving strength, stronglifts probably a bit simpler and beginner friendly, so i would give it to stronglifts. That being said both suck for hypertrophy.
