GoJu, I did a little research and be careful locking your elbows, it's possible to inflame them and get elbow tendenitis. If you can stop right before you lock your elbows, keep a slight bend.
There is never any pain, though once my elbow did give out during a lift. It didn't collapse or anything but the strength I usually have wasn't there. You are probably right about the shoulders...
Sometimes when I work on flat bench my shoulder pops, decline bench my elbow pops. It happens on other exercises as well, does this mean I have bad form? Sign of injury? Nothing?
