I was in this exact situation a few months after getting into the lifestyle.. Parents cut me off from buying my food sources and told me I can eat only whatever they decide to buy at 16 years old.
Fathers a vegan so I've experimented with a few week attempts at the diet..

6-8oz of lean meat per meal adds up when you eat every 2-3 hours.
Also gets expensive.
Inb4 too much protein
Also, you don't need all that much protein when your carb and fat macros are higher.
You can absolutely be intolerant to the protein, mainly casein, in milk on top of the lactose. Many people get bloated from drinking casein shakes themselves.
I personally am lactose intolerant...
Try 700K for a small 50 year old place.
Even after thawing some water remains in the meat when they are "enhanced" with broths/ect, and the fluid content goes down further the more you cook it as well.
Simply go by what the label says.....

My TDEE @ 210 is 3700, -300 =3400 to cut.
210g protein =840kcals
105g fat= 945kcals
Left over is 1615kcals.. thats over 400g carbs I can eat while losing fat.

About 65-70 a week on my diet.
Then my daily energy drink and quest bar bumps it to about 100 a week.
Then add my 2-3 time cheat meal(lately arctic zero) It comes up to about 115 a week.
Am I supposed to tell him everything is going to be okay and support his blatant lies?
The guy said he tried the proven method that everyone preaches, but was not getting results.

Boo hoo. Weight gain is from taking in extra calories..period.
You eat like a bird.. 2 eggs and toast for breakfast with some fat free milk? That's what.. around 500-600 calories?
