i would start at a 500 surplus, re assess in a month or two, if you like your gains so far continue what youre doing
if you think you have gained too much fat, lower it to 300 surplus

yes you will, my first routine was an upper/ lower split and i made sick gains, i would suggest something like back/ bis, chest/ tris, shoulders/ traps, legs

pics of start and now? if you started at the end of march, and have gained 7-10lbs then you are doing fine, at a 500 cal surplus you should expect 1lb or so a week, give it time

op to an extent, youre going to gain more fat yes, and more muscle, 500 cal surplus is popular because its good mass gains with minimal fat gains when done properly
