I really like Roden from prejudging, but when he was with Wolf/kai/Phil he looked significantly small from the back.

Phil has a lot of ground to make up IMO...not as tight as '13

Ya I recall seeing a training video he did for MD where he is, I think, a couple weeks out from a show and doing deadlifts with 5 or 6 plates.

hmm...so he nailed the conditioning, but wasnt better than Phil. I dont like the "he is being held back" narrative especially when the he is losing to a better opponent.

What is he being "held back" from exactly? I'm a Kai fan, but he has never nailed his conditioning at the O, and his best O showing Phil was better.
