I wouldn't say people are friendly at any of the gyms I've gone to here - they mostly just keep to themselves. If they're doing curls in the squat rack of something and I get near them, they've...
I'm just curious - where have you seen routines that put deadlifts at the beginning? I asked because I haven't seen any here.
Here, it's always squats at the beginning, deadlifts in the middle or...
I think it's just that no one really has an opinion here...at the end of my workout I'm to exhausted to do more. I don't see anything "wrong" in what you're doing - I personally hate planks, but it's...
I've only seen it in competition videos - and you need at least 2 spotters (one on each side) to do it.
I personally just will not join a gym that doesn't have a squat rack or a power cage.
If you're going to a gym, the easiest thing (depending on how heavy their dumbells get) is to do the bench press with dumbells rather than barbells.
Also, if you look through this thread you'll...
I'm curious what his plan is...
That being said, you gotta remember that you're the one paying the money, not him. You can throw his plan in the trash and just not answer his call if you want to...
It took me about half an hour when I started, but I actually just timed it, and it took 14 minutes.
How are you spending a lot of time foam rolling? There's only 2 foam rolling things in...
It's not really a question that can be answered over the internet.
It could be that you just used muscles in your lower back that you don't normally use. My leg muscles are sore for 3 days after...
I bought a foam roller at Target, but it quickly started self-compressing. I also own the top selling one from amazon, it seems to hold up a lot better -...
Yeah, it's kind of another word for dieting - it's when you cut back on the number of calories you're eating in order to to weight/fat.
Thanks for the rep. :-)
If you really want to gain muscle, from what I've read, neither are going to do the trick. If you want to "get shredded", you have to use a barbell and regular weights....
Thanks to CJ93UK for the suggestion.
On *this* site? Not so much, unfortunately. Some people say you can convert All Pro's routine to dumbells, that's the closest, unfortunately.
This is a body building forum, so I imagine people are going to tell you to do a barbell workout. :D
But recently I've been reading between the 2, and it sounds like PX90 would be better - to me....
Yes.

My take: JasonDB's routine is a little much for a true gym virgin. A beginner can make great gains off of significantly less...
1. Do the squats in your socks, or if you're at home, barefoot is fine. Biggest problem I had when trying to get my form better turned out to by my shoes - the sole was just making my foot unstable....
That's what I would say to. Let it heal, then try to figure out how you can get better form to avoid knee pain.
Fyi, if it takes video at all, you can take video then set the destination as your email address (rather than a phone number) and it will send it to your email, you can post it from there. Or do the...
It's best if you can go slightly below parallel.
Look up "Defranco Agile 8" - it's a set of mostly dynamic stretches and exercises that I do before squatting that's helped **me** a lot. I...
Lol, you can feel free to feel that your ego is smarter than Rippetoe, or anyone who analyzes form on weightlifting, but that doesn't make it true. If I remember right, the *only* piece of personal...
Like the other posters have said, I wouldn't recommend a pad. With a low bar squat and proper form (like in the video KBKB posted), the bar will rest on your shoulders and not rest on your neck at...
