All my HIIT is done on the bike and it seems to work well. It's going to fun to see you morph into contest shape again.

Go for that plan of yours. It's only 200-300 calories cut, so not that drastic at all. If you find that you're loosing too much muscle (size) you could also throw in a carb meal here or there.
