Whatever you like, as long as it adds up to 15-20 total reps
e.g. 3x5, 4x5, 3x6, 2x8, 1x17, etc
Grip was okay this time
Session wasn't great. Oh well.
85kg (5, 4)
Didn't feel as stable as usual. Weight is proving difficult but might be worth another attempt.
Yep, too much. Even 50 was a huge struggle following the first set.
It did a pretty good job at working the shoulders though. Dat pump.
First actual PR in a long while :D
Was difficult but wasn't a struggle, if that makes sense
On another note, I just realized I'm a dumbass and have been listing 'One-handed Tricep Cable Pushdown' by accident, instead of just 'Tricep Cable Pushdown' (I use a template for logging).
Matched with previous PR :D
This weight is starting to expose my weaker right side.
Final set was the cleanest of them all though, surprisingly.
52.5kg (5, 5, 4)
Missed last rep again. Was grinding it for dayz.
Much easier this time around :)
Thanks mayne. Pretty happy with how things are moving so far.
I'm still watching your log too, hoping to see some awesome progress from you this year :)
Success. Aww yis.
Managed to get it but form was dreadful on the last few reps.
Won't be adding weight next session.
Could be a whole range of factors, but yes, it's pretty common afaik.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just put in the effort and do your best to progress.
I'd drop the weight by 10% and continue normal progression from there.
Make sure you're getting enough sleep as well (if you're not already).
EDIT: Considering the way the program progression...
50kg (5, 5, 4)
Didn't even attempt final rep.
Second-last one was a massive grind.
Lower back wasn't feeling too good after these.
Session didn't feel so great but hey, got all the lifts.
