Sounds fine. Remember to not eat much high glycemic carbs/calories in the 1st and 2nd meal. Your biggest meal should be the last one.
Maybe you won't be able to eat that much carbs in only one meal...
Start greeting them, look at them sometimes, make them feel comfortable interacting with you.
With time, situations appear, and you just take advantage of it.
Also, you could do some calisthenics...
