How about you just go do it! Everybody is different and just because some formula tells you what you "might" be able to do, that doesnt mean it is correct.
Another day of rest isnt going to hurt anything. Funny i come across this thread though, i am taking a break from studying for my last final. Close to 5 am...I definitely won't be working out later.
I do... Basically because i don't like to chit chat when i am working out...I go to the gym pumped and ready to do my workout, not to hear about my friend's girl problems or what lunch somebody had....
I did them with my old split. Used to be my favorite exercise. I wouldn't say drop them entirely. (Only reason i did was because i moved to Bill Starr 5x5)
Any chance of doing a cut for a couple months? Get slimmer, then start a lifting routine...But when you go to weights EAT CLEAN, but eat enough to gain as well...maybe on off days, do some cardio to...
Like has been said, drop about 20 pounds or so from your 5RM and start there....you should be hitting new 5RMs at about week 4 or so...When you come to this point, make sure you complete 5 sets of 5...
take out the seat, and try doing some one legged squats with your other foot on the gas/brake...Or put a few ho's in the car and get your pimp hand strong. I hear a strong pimp hand is key.
