Yes very true because in the protein drinks there will be plenty of naturally occurring BCAA but a seoarate BCAA powder will allow for faster absorption.
ON Gold is a very good quality mid range mixed protein. If you are lactose intolerant like me, maybe the hydrowhey (very expensive) or the Dymatize Iso 100 but these are both fast digest proteins.
