    Doing a decent number of pushups a day just to get a pump shouldn't hurt that much i believe.

    But then again, I'd rather let my muscles rest.

    Not sure about BBBP being overrated, but DBBP certainly works much better for me. Greater range of motion plus more muscle fibres worked, and a more fulfilling and satisfying chest workout.

    OK you don't actually LOSE the fat, but the muscle gain might stretch the fat layer such that you end up looking leaner. I can't really find a good way...
