    Thanks for replying. More on the inner side. Achy pain. Chin ups definitely make it worse, so do bicep curls and pushdowns. Dumbbell press affects it slightly.

    I think I did other back exercises for a while then tried doing chin ups, as well as jumping up and lowering myself slowly when I could only do a few

    How to progress better at chin ups/pull ups

    I used to not be able to do chin ups. Now I'm 20 pounds heavier and can do 7 reps with my body weight, but I find I can't progress beyond this point. Any advice?
