1 pound of fat is 3,500 calories, so estimate how many calories in a day you use, and subtract it from 6000... i would think 6000 calories would be... excessive. that'd just be the unused calories...
bananas tend to fill me up quick i eat 2 and i'm stuffed. and if you want something that'll wear down your appetite i reccomend grape nuts, you'll get so tired of chewing your hunger gives up.
andrew: that seems like a crap load of sets, i'd either remove an excercise or 2, or stick to br's and up the sets (2 or so) unless you're doin some HIT)
