Same happened to me. Don't drink a lot in the first sitting when you first try it. Work up slowly adding an additional cup each week until your body gets used to it.

Eat your food at work and take bcaas before the gym with your preworkout.That is if your main concern is catabolism and preworkout effectiveness.
