It's hard to tell from the pics but it looks more like the powerline model that you have to hook up the cable for the low pulley everytime you want to use it, and disconnect it to use the high pulley.

It takes a little getting use to sitting on the floor, but most models are like this...except for the bodycraft F620.

this is the body solid model GLM83, which I have and it is great, $299 new with shipping...just use a little silicone spray to lube the pole, very smooth...

Handles are 5lb, Screwlocks are 2.5lb each.

What about something like this. I would just be careful to keep balanced so the chairs don't become unstable.

No I doubt it generally they are not excluded because they sell mostly there own brand of plates and bars, not sure about benches though.

I'm sure it would be fine, you probably have furniture that ways more than your planning to use. Check this thread out.

I'd have to say no, they are not upgradable in weight and there are much better options like powerblocks or Ironmaster quicklocks. I have IM quicklocks they go to 75lbs and have 120lb upgrade kit....

just to confirm yes the IM db plates are standard and can be used on any standard bar.
