I'm with you on that one. There's no point doing any of this if it isn't going to be transparent.

Muscle memory isn't going to do much in the way of fat loss. Sure, having a greater amount of lean muscle mass is going to help with calorie burn, but only to an extent

I'd consider crossfit somewhat athletic. The competitive games at least.
