I posted this in the Music section yesterday and there was no interest.

There is a very narrow field of interest in that section and it sure doesn't include country music.

I don't mind some pop/rock country being played on radio, but I def want that traditional sound to always be played as well.

I think it's sad that radio no longer plays the older artists like Jones, Dolly, Willie, Loretta, etc...

Introduce them to this generation. I guarantee they'll love them.

It's also pretty impressive that he's had a top 10 song every year since his first - 32 years in a row with a top 10 hit is insane.

Easton Corbin is probably my favorite of the up-and-coming artists. Hope to hear him on the radio for a long time.

Yeah, you could always count on him and Alan Jackson to maintain that traditional country sound, but Strait has gone a little too pop.

But 'country' music sounds nothing like country music...

Not sure which is more surprising - that Strait has 86 top 10 hits or that he's now in his 60s.
