I don't think they skip anything crucial, but some of character development is left out. Best bet would probably be to just watch the series in case it does skip something that might be important.

movies>series (but i watched the series before the movies, so take it with a grain of salt), it's a 10/10 and going from your sig you'll probably like it as they kinda have similar pacing.

The characters in Gekkan were done so damn well, really hoping that it get's a second season.

Air gear anime was kinda meh as it leaves so much unfinished and ends at a rather exciting/climaxing...

Barakamon finale was pretty good, would have liked to see some more feels near the end though. This and Gekkan shoujo were amazing, contenders for AOTS fo sho.

Just watched it all after reading these posts. I am very surprised that no one has talked about this before, it has **** all ratings on MAL either. The plot was extremely interesting with pretty good...

I think people take hxh pretty seriously and that's ****s a 12/10 shounen.
