Yeah no need for shocks to ride paved or packed gravel lakefront paths. Just more crap to go wrong and maintain. Keep it sweet and simple, hybrid, narrow slick tires, rim brakes, and go enjoy!

I had almost forgotten how much fun it is riding into a 25mph headwind with the occasional 35mph gust. Good times.
