Those two are fine, metal makes them too. In fact go to any powerlifting internet store and you will find one. They all work fine
People tend to block pull with better positioning then the position they are in when they get to that same point on a full dead. Post up a vid of you pulling 400+ so we can see what the issue may be.

Things that usually hold tall lifters back is technique and body weight. Would need to see a vid for the technique and if you are 6'4-6'5 you will really have to fill out.
I got mine about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it is a little stiffer than a TPB and the knurling is similar to the TPB but not as sharp. Did a youtube review if you care to watch. Solid bar!
