Unless you dont mind drilling into your floor, then you could do what I did and screw the plywood down in multiple places to make sure it is snug against the concrete.
stall mats would be fine, I've used just stall mats before while doing deadlifts, and saw no damage to my concrete. Having plywood under the mats does help displace the force better, but it is not...
