    I do my deads on leg day #1 (I do 5x5 workout w/ 2 upperbodys and 2 leg days):
    1) Squats.....5 sets
    2) Deads......5 sets
    3) 20 min on bike.......keeping at 80 rpm

    I do not do any isolation type...

    the journal does help w/ accountability/motivation.......I often squeeze out another rep for the sake of my journal (even if it is so I can type "2 x 8" instead of "1 x 8, then 1 x 7"!!)
