I agree with the genetics part but another thing is sometimes if you have a medium-high BF% a section of fat between your Bicep and shoulder can hide your peak.

1 or two should'nt really affect you.The only thing I would say is that most alcohol is empty carbs so if you do have one or two make sure you factor that into your diet plan.
