found a hacksaw machine with a 5" capacity a few mins away from me, all my steel isnt over 3" so it should be fine.

will be abit of a task bringing it in and.out of my house to work with...

just to follow up on my last post,
always have the biggest plates on the bar last,
if your using 10lb plates it should be fine, ive never had a problem with mine.

at 2" thick the rating will be more than any human can handle.

damn wouldve found collecting this 10 tonnes so much easier back then, only at 1700kg so far :(

how much was the cheapest per kg back then?

could try a cut off saw ? its not as accurate as a bandsaw but it works ok
