Allen Edmonds has second quality shoes that don't meet the criteria for their standard shoes. The problem is usually in the stitching or coloring, but I can't find anything wrong with these.
You're right. I have a couple other pairs in mind and I am going to go with them. I need a nice pair of black cap-toes for work, so I am going to pickup a pair of those, and a pair of brown...
Thought I'd give an update on my 3sixteen SL-100. They were super tight when I got them, but have stretched out to fit perfectly.

Yes, they are the 346. I know they are not made as well, but I really like the shirts and they were only $45 a piece. Wouldn't pay $80 a shirt for 346.
So, I ordered some APC New Standards in size 34 and they fit great in the legs, but too loose in the waist. I know they will stretch out even more, so I will send them back.
Can you post a fit pic? I saw the pic you posted a few pages back but would like to see where you started and how they stretched if it isn't too much to ask.
My 3sixteen SL-100's came in today. How much can I expect them to stretch? I got a 34 and can get them buttoned no problem, but the legs are real tight. Think I may need to send these back.
