    It will not make a visible difference. Think of it as an additional aid in muscle recovery etc, it won't make you look jacked .

    Better than nothing. You can sure use the smith machine for many exercises. It may not be as "great" as having a bench/squat rack, but i've gotten a couple of good shoulder presses in, and shrugs...
