Generally, you have to be in a deficit to lose fat and a surplus to gain muscle. Eating everything in sight is usually a recipe for disaster especially if your bodyfat is that high.
I learned my lesson a few years ago. I never discuss diet or training with anyone. They don't want to truly understand what it takes, the planning, and the work involved.
I try to think of pulling my elbows to my hip joints. If i move my elbows back past the center line of my body, then I can feel the tension move from my lats onto my traps and rear delts.

Get some gymnastic rings and get some PVC pipe to build parallettes. I used to think BW exercises were somewhat easy until I did some of the gymnastic type moves.
