garage, as it has a concrete floor.
given it says I've only started 11 threads since 2006... I'm inclined to think, for my current purposes, it might as well not exist.
I had one just like this... let me dig up the thread.
seems there are some very slight differences, but it is quite similar.
The secondary point of me not using straps is so I do not have to do extra grip work. I hate wasting time, so skipping grip on an exercise that can help it, just so I can do other grip only work...
In 5x5 or 5/3/1, I never have had my grip hold me back, so I never have seen a use to use straps. I think my non-use of straps has helped my grip never be the issue.
But it as it has been said, it...
unless your room is like 5' tall, if you have room for a bench and a bar, you have room for a rack, it is just basic math (since a bench is longer than a lot of racks, and a bar is wider...
I personally never use them, but I am training for raw powerlifting, so I see no point in using them personally.

To the US DIY'ers:
where do you guys buy your vinyl upholstery and dense padding for your benches and such?
I am making a mount in rack reverse hyper, and I will want to get a nice pad for...
Ordered the getrxd one, as it seemed to be the best bang for the buck.
It was shipped out today.
Now the waiting game :D
Yes, with shipping it runs about $500. I personally think it is worth it, but that is more a matter of personal preferences.
I LOVE my fw-150. Though beware, promaxima charges a LOT for shipping.
My post about the bench:
I guess I did not explain fully.
I did not hurt my back, I just mentally blocked myself the week before and failed 3 times, then got it up for 4.5 reps.
so for this workout I still went up 5...
