I got contracting by going in open general. That may not also work for you, but there are always "good" jobs available by going in open gen, like medical, intel, etc.

You can list some job preferences, and the Air Force will try to get you them provided you qualify and they are open, but needs of the service will always trump your wants.

There are exceptions, such as when the dorms are full, or when some kissass airman gets hooked up by his Shirt and CC after tons of whining. Yeah, I've seen it.

Nothing you do in tech school will affect your BTZ chances, aside from maybe distinguished graduate or top graduate. You get BTZ mostly cause of your visibility in the wing. You'll know what I mean...

White rope doesn't entail any leadership (babysitting) really, so if you are interested in that go for it.

Definitely do not become a rope. It's essentially babysitting people for the MTLs.

NOBODY will care that you were a rope, even someone who chugs gallons of Koolaid every day.

There are WAY more people on the same meds than you think. Unless you need them just to function, you won't be kicked out.

You should have put in for contracting, breh. Plus, I would imagine with your background you would be stationed within AFSPC again, and systems level contracting for space is fukin GOAT.
