I've been in the military before... I know where you are getting at as mess food just doesn't cut it. If you can, slam mass gainers and pack protein bars too... You burn so many calories in a day...

This is true. I was 'skinny fat', but without even cutting or much cardio (mostly heavy lifting) I did in fact (very slowly) drop inches around my waist and a little BF. Nothing near what a cut would...
