You should lower the weight if it irritates your rotator cuff. That exercise is supposed to actually help strengthen it haha(along with building rear delts and traps etc)
You should always warm up man. Highly decreases the risk of injury over time and it will help you lift more weight because there's a better blood flow. It can even help you get your form down better!
