See which trainers are the busiest and also ask other members who they have worked with or what they've heard about the trainers.

This still doesn't sound great to me. 40 hours a week + Group Training for 40k a year. 40 hours a week as a trainer is a ton of hours.

Always start with some sort of assessment

Just get the CSCS. There's no point in my opinion to get anything else since you're already an ATC with extra credentials.

If I were you, I would look for opportunities at athletic performance...

I think I paid $199 for a 2 year renewal and they have the recert for life at $299. You need 2.0 ceu credits to renew. Your CPR/AED course counts for a small portion of that.
