Need some input on CKD...
I was having a hard time burning the stubborn fat around my chest and lower abdominal area when I was 9% body fat. I've put on some extra fat since then and the CKD caught my attention. I started the program today, but I need some input as I feel my diet and calorie breakdown needs improvement.
The stats
5'10
170 pounds
15% body fat
Lean body mass = 145.5 pounds
Maintenance calorie between 1900-2200
medium - fast metabolism
Sample Diet

1 Scoop of whey protein (25g protein, 130 Calories)
2 tbls spoons of peanut butter (180 cal)
9:30 AM
5 eggs with 2 yolks (25-30g prot, 210 Cal)
1 Cup of Spinach (25 Cal)

3:00 PM
1 Scoop of whey protein (25g prot, 130 Cal)

Post workout
2 Scoops of Whey protein (50g prot, 260 Cal)
7:30 PM
6 oz chicken breast (30g prot, 150 Cal) or
1/2 Cup of cottage cheese (15g prot, 120 Cal)
1 Tbls Spoon fo Flaxseed Oil (120 Cal)
Water itake (1- 1.2 gallons / day)
Supplements:
Multi-Vitamins
Based on the sample diet, which varies (small change) from day to day i'm taking about 200 grams of protein and 1700-1900 calories. I feel low energy even though my calorie deficit is only 150 - 200 calories. According to the articles I should only be taking in 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass.
Questions
1. What else should I incorporate to my diet for the CKD?
2. Should I lower my protein intake and up my fat intake?
3. Can someone who's had success on the CKD provide some good input on what's worked for them?
4. If the diet is not done to the exact calculation is it hard to maintain lean muscle while losing the body fat?
Thanks,
Justin
