on home screen hit your applications widget
next look for the widget name files
look for the snapchat file
click it, then do as the op indicated by renaming the file from .nomedia to .jpeg

Iphone you can download iFunbox to get into App files WITHout jailbreak. Don't know if the pics are in there. I don't have snapchat. Will DL it now to see.

Ill test tonight on my jail broken ipad and see, but I'm sure it works the same way.
-
With iPhones you can just screenshot but snapchat will notify the other person. If it's jailbroken, you can just change the screenshot shortcut. Snapchat only recognizes home button and power button at the same time as a screenshot. I'm not sure what tweak to get because I am not jailbroken yet but that is one way around it.

Oh lawd, inb4 nude dumps all over the tubes.
-
Think my wife would approve of me soliciting tit pics on my phone?
-
...people really thought using Snapchat was 100% safe? Naive gon naive

I'm testing ifunbox ATM, tbh I'm pretty pumped
-
The viewed images reside at:
RECEIVED_IMAGES_SNAPS
File extension is renamed to pic.NONAME.
Change it to pic.jpeg
Profit!
For the unawares... Snapchat claims that users can send pics that auto delete after a period of time. Well, they don't delete, the extension is just changed and hidden within android os.

I don't see that app on the App Store was it removed?
Apple doesn't like allowing access to the file system.

Made a mistake in op.
It should be .NOMEDIA
Do a search if your phone didn't over write the file, they're there.
The only downfall as this is solid state storage is that the image remains written there and dpace marked as unallocated soot only remains written there until the file system uses that unallocated space. Then it's written over.
That's the nature of SSD

Where is that? Which files do I navigate to get there?
-
You guys must write a lot to the file system.
If you're not seeing anything your phone used that space as unallocated and over write it.
Try doing a message with someone and post results.
I was able
To
Recover a dozen or so
My wife sent.
No I won't share you pervs

will this work on iphone even if i've deleted snapchat?

alright miscer lets experiment, ill send you a snapchat and you download it but dont open it, then go to the cache and see if theres a file there that you can save. maybe it deletes from the cache after you open it
