Good job on the cardio!
UD2 sounds interesting. WTG on one bite of bagel. I can't do that, it's all or nothing! )
Have a good day!!
Thank you! :)
I like things in small doses :D
You too!
Adda girl! Glute striations here we come! D
Whoo hoo! :D
I'm so lost these days...
Lori's doing stuff! Leaning out, doing crazy workouts, then carb loading, and doing crazy workouts. :D
Mmmm, homemade bagels... drool... Now I got to look up a recipe )
The same thing happened to me once it came closer to us moving. It's hard for sure but you got to make choices that are good for you Heck once you start working and get everything squared away you should be able to save money to go back for the holidays.
Glad you met a new friend the other night! Sounds like it will be a busy weekend but fun as well (not the hurricane bit thought lol).
Pics to come!!!
Yeah, it's hard- but I'd never let something like that stop me from moving. Hoping to get home next christmas! This christmas it'll just be the two of us since we won't have privilages to have holidays, but it's only one christmas, and hopefully we'll be able to spoil each other :D
Haha! I've been doing that a lot lately :p It could go either way- super busy, or super laid back. I'm cool with either!
Glad Starvation 2.0 is going well so far, chickie!
I always thought bagels were hard to make, but then, I'm not a bread baker, so they'd probably be something super easy for *me* to screw up. Have a great afternoon!
It's going GREAT! A wee bit on the cranky side today...Stephen asked me for a hug when I was making my mid-afternoon snack and I stomped my feet impatiently and told him I was hungry and cranky. lol! He was like "Ok! I just wanted a hug! I didn't mean to make you cranky." Poor guy- I'll have to go make that up to him. Luckily he knows me well enough to not take me too seriously :D
OK so we are starving ourselves yet making bagels? confused:
p
We sure are! Hahaha! Lori gets to eat tomorrow :D

Bagels are in the oven! Be back with pictures! :) I can't believe I can't even taste them until tomorrow. lol! I'll have to trust Stephen's judgement! :D

lol, i do this too, nothing like being hungry and tired to make me cranky. Just leave me alone!!! :)
and yummmmm, bagels. I can't believe you're going to wait until tomorrow to eat.

Hahaha! :D
The waiting doesn't bother me! Successful diet weeks make me happier than ruining them- especially since I've done so much work these past few days to get everything right :) Much more rewarding to do it right and wait the extra day!

Done! Stephen says they are definitely bakery quality! :) Excited to try one tomorrow :) The lighting is a little bright so they appear to be a wee bit washed out looking, but they're pretty golden :)

cool. how much protein/fat? :) i had several *epiphanies* re refeeds while on UD2. like when lyle says MAXIMUM recommended fat intake is 50 grams and then people read it as they MUST consume 50 grams of fat on a refeed.
ime refeeds worked best when you just shoved in a lot of fat-free starch and didn't worry about anything else.

I agree! My best ones are always the ones where fat is very low. Protein I don't watch so much. I usually just eat carbs and let trace protein fall where it will, but if I'm extra hungry I may throw a little in a meal here and there. I usually end up with anywhere from 100-110g of protein, and 30g-35g of fat :) Planning on eating lots of white rice, oatmeal, potatos, some pancakes, a tsp of honey here and there. Things like that. Probably just ~2 bagels since they're kind of on the sugary side. My carb loads are usually pretty simple :) I'm also creatine loading, and I've always done the vinegar thing. Makes a huge difference in my strength the next day, surprisingly :p Wil never carb load without creatine + vinegar again! Hahaa! Makes me superhuman! :D
It makes more sense to keep the fat low since your body is still in fat burning mode while you're carb loading. You'd think the less fat you'd consume, the more bf you'd burn?

i tried that vinegar thing, too. not sure if it did anything. creatine i've noticed does give me *some* edge.

yes. partly, because your overall calories are lower with less fat. the other thing is that because there's no actual fuel coming in, the body is literally forced to do two things at the same time. refill glycogen and continue burning bodyfat to make up for the deficit. that's why i felt *sick* on some refeeds. i'd just conk.

Interesting! I'm wondering if it'll feel different this time since I'm leaner now than I was last year. We'll see! :)

I'd give those bagels the thumbs up too :D

Holy crap, woman. Ya drop off the earth for a couple of days, and Lori's journal grows three more pages. Haha.
Those bagels look unbelievable. My mouth is watering (true story). If I come to Pouch Cove, can I have one? :D
Glad you're feeling slightly less fluffy. Can't wait to see the amazing results you're gonna have with UD2!

Wow! Great job on the bagels! Maybe you should open Gobbles Bagel Bakery! :)

Lol @ you remembering that. I'll jump out of a C-130 instead. So, if you hear something coming down your chimney one night, don't get all excited; it's not going to be Santa. ;)

Today I was hoping to have this whole random Wednesday to myself to dedicate to eating carbs. Well, one of our friends texted us last night wondering if we wanted to drink a beer and pick blueberries today. My plan was to do cardio this morning, be finished at 10:30, get lunch at 11:00-11:30, then later this afternoon around 2:00 I was going to eat my pre-workout carby snacky and do my tension workout at 2:30ish. I'd be finished by 4:00, and was planning on proceeding to eat a bagel while I'm waiting for my rice/veggies/sweet and sour sauce supper to cook. Now I have to try to plan everything around picking berries and being gone all afternoon  lol! Why can't I just be left alone during the week!?
Anyway. Off to visit you guys a little before I go do some cardio. Tension workout later at some point! :)

Ok, but you might have to lose more weight first- the chimney is really narrow and it curves since it's a woodstove one and not a fireplace one. I may have to get a broom and push you out with it :p

Hmm, a 210 pound Lucifer won't be able to get down your chimney? Guess I'll have to cut down to 150 lbs then. :(

That might do it. You'd probably be better off just using the door! :p

Woah! Just did 35 minutes of super light cardio and had to stop. I started feeling really dizzy and woozy! Still dizzy and lightheaded and woozy and tingly. Messed up! lol! Think I'll just take it easy til my workout :)

Woes of eating 1100 cals. Take it easy and eat up! :)
