The 155 was fuggin heavy and the lift wasn't so pretty, but I'll take it LOL...OHP days are a crap shoot, some days are strong and other days not so much...

Been a busy week with work and I'm pretty much done school clothes shopping...fugging teenagers are expensive...that's all I'm sayin...:D
Solid lifts, as always :)
When you do your goodmornings, do you keep your stance narrow, or have you ever gone wider?
Kimm, I can not stop staring at your quads!! If my quads ever get to look like that, well, I will be sitting here staring at my quads. lol
Solid lifts, as always :)

First off, holy hell your back looks fab! I don't think I've ever seen your back before! :D For goodmornings I prefer using a wide stance. I try to keep legs stiff, with a very slight bend at the knee. I come down, dig my heels into the floor and push my a$$ out to really hit that hamm/glute area. If I start to feel it in my lower back, then I know the weight is too heavy and it's throwing off my form. Hope this helps. :)

Aww, thanks Ham! Dare I say my quads are actually small. They're only 20" and I'd be happy with another 2" added...legs are a bitch and it's always been a battle for me to add more size.
Thanks sweets, how are you feeling these days? :)
Hey Kimm! I'm feeling better, still got the fatigue thing going on but its not as bad :) Been trying to get to the gym when I can and not get discouraged by lack of program progress lol.

I'm glad to hear that. The fatigue comes and goes...it's a huge change to a "mommy to be" body. Don't get so caught up in the making progress part. Get to the gym, do the best workouts you can for you and baby. You stay consistent through your pregnancy and this will give you a huge advantage. After everything is said and done, you will be able to bounce back easily. :)

Thanks so much sweets! Get me an email over the weekend and let me know where you're at ok. :)
I'm so glad the weekend is here, I'm spent...
Today was legs and I literally crapped out after my first 3 sets. Hottest day this week and it's taxing into what little energy I have...
Goodmornings
105 x 12 x 2
115 x 12 x 2
125 x 10
135 x 8
Superset:
Front squats
105 x 10 x 2
115 x 8 x 2
135 x 6
Seated leg curls
140 x 10 x 2
150 x 10
150 x 8
160 x 8
Set up the leg press and I was too fuggin tired to bother changing weights so...
Single leg press
125 x 12 x 3
Calves (from leg press)
125 x 25 x 3 (slow negs)
Leg press (both legs)
125 x 20 x 3
Good enough for me.
Nothing planned this weekend, finally peace a quiet...:D

Glad you have a no plans weekend....you gotta have them now and then!
Hai Kimm :)
Mirin' the quads. Seems like the cut is going well so mirin' that too . . . jelly over here.
Really hate how summer heat saps one's energy . . . still can't believe you workout in a gym without ac
Anyways have a good weekend.

Agree! New quad avi is amazing!!
Last weekend it was 103 here......crazy hot for my area. Ugh, just wears you out and is so unpleasant!
Great, inspiring workouts, Kim Enjoy your relaxing weekend :)
I heard the weather in MA has been brutal. Here we expect it but there it's a different story..
Ive always done my good mornings with a close foot stance, but I also usually feel some lower back involvement. Maybe I'll try switching up my stance..
Hello ladies. :) Hope you all had a great weekend!
Today was shoulders and it was somewhat "meh" for a Monday. One of the guys there kept talking my ear off and needless to say, I lost all focus...

Did he not get the hint that it was not tea time chat time? I hate that. I find some creeper follows me around chatting, its hard for me to stay in the zone, because Im so disturbed. I know, must learn to lift distracted :p
Still a solid workout, Kimm.

I don't like people to talk to me. I really like to be left alone. I had two people tell me yesterday to smile. I wanted to punch them both :p
Avi is
I've been absent in here:(
AVI insane! You sure have given me some motivation there.
Hey Kimm! :D
Ok.. yea.. I'm going to sound like a broken record here but really that avi  !!! One day hopefully my legs will come close, one day!
Great work!! Even for having a follower lol :p You're just too awesome!

I'm starting to feel a bit more energetic lately, which is nice:) I'm trying to keep all that in mind and will be glad of bouncing back better than most woman that give birth :)
Solid workouts like always :D I hope the heat calms down for you soon, don't know how you train in that heat. Do they at least have fans going to circulate the air?
Thanks so much ladies. :) I'm using good for a quick nod and a hello. I use short rest periods and when I get interrupted...it completely throws me off my game. Who mentioned never smiles? I never smile and there are these 2 guys always telling me to smile. My response is always, "I don't smile until I'm done and walking out of the building..."
I've been maintaining at 126 lbs and this seems to be a comfortable place for me at this time. I was thinking about a possible show at the end of Oct. I got in touch with the promoter (who turned out to be a serious douchebag btw) so I thought to myself, "Fuk you, I'll save my money thank you very much!" I don't miss competing that much...:D
Anyhoo, hit the gym for some back/tris. The workout was good, but I had to lighten the load. My joints are screaming, which means it's time to switch back to some full body/alt push/pull for a while. I can only run splits for so long before my joints/connective tissues need a serious break. I got tendonitis that's acting up...it comes and goes.

Grilled some steaks, baked potatoes and salad for dinner. Made myself a homeade reeses pieces, ice cream sundae for dessert. We also had m&m and kit kat, because everyone wanted something different. :)
I also got a new pair of sneakers. I'm going to try out the New Balance Minimus Vibrams. Mine look exactly like the ones in this pic, but they're all black.
If anyone is looking for some expensive sneakers, at a decent outlet price.

Still looks strong even for go a bit lighter than normal. I hear ya on the achey joints, it still amazes me that problem will cause me to have to slow down more than actually stalling out on lifts will.
As for smiling/talking to people in the gym, pfffft! That's the one place where most people (well serious lifters) don't want to be bothered, mind = blown so many people don't catch on to that one. I take it you are not an ipod person in the gym? I've seen a couple people mention they don't want to listen to an ipod but just put the earbuds in with the thing off so people don't talk to them lmao.
You just made my day with that New Balance link, brb shopping! :D
Even though you are not dying to compete, it is still a pity that the promoter had a bad attitude.
I have to say that I really happy the chat I had with the promoter from the Belgian Cup. He was really attentive and helpful.

No, I don't do the ipod. My gym plays metal 99% of the time. If I walk through the door and the metal isn't on, the immediately switch it for me! :D Enjoy your shopping...I think they've got some ok stuff at decent prices.

NPC sucks in my area. They changed the promoter a couple years ago and I don't like him...never have. Oh well, it is what it is...
Thanks darlin! ;)
Hi Kim! I saw that you had a journal and wanted to stop in and say hello and thank you for taking the time to provide guidance to those of us who really need it in the forums.
I'm learning so much and getting so much inspiration from all of the journals and the wealth of advice given to others in the Female section here. I'm still making plenty of mistakes of course, but feel that I'm on the right path finally thanks to the time that ladies like you take to enlighten and empower others in many ways.
Many thanks and have a great weekend!

My gym plays AWFUL music. I would love if they played metal. It's what half of my iPod is full of. I've had my iPod die in the middle of workout and I still wear it. It helps to keep people from talking to me but I still have to hear the awful music the gym plays.
Happy TGIF peeps! I got caught up with work and hit the gym for a quick leg workout. I have a birthday party tomorrow, coming home to pack and headed to the beach for a couple days. This is our last little getaway before the kiddos go back to school.

I didn't realize you were doing GMs with a full plate, that's awesome. I know a few other people around here have added those and are doing like 65lbs and say they're friggin' hard.
Ah! There you are!
Im freaking out about school too lol!!
I like quick, to the point workouts atm. As always, your lifts are impressive.

I love doing GMs...one of my fav hamm/glute exercises. I can't see myself going any higher than 140 lbs. The weight feels very heavy and it gets difficult trying to keep proper form.

I'm so glad this week is over. This week was def struggle at the gym. I don't know if it's because I'm back to full body, my tendonitis is bugging the hell out of me...I just couldn't find my groove this week. I was basically just going through the motions.

Happy Monday my lovely ladies :)
Nice long weekend, didn't do much. Went to mom's yesterday for Sun dinner. The weather was beautiful, so I had all my nieces, nephews outside for a mad game of soccer, baseball and playing on the jungle gym. I think I climbed the rope a good 5 times...kids love it and I love getting all messy in the dirt! :D
I had an ok workout today. I think I'm finally getting back in the groove with FB. I miss my splits, but I do what I gotta do to get through.

Hey Kimm! Glad your daughter is enjoying high school so far :)
Workouts look strong as ever, glad they are getting better for you :) Is the heat and humidity at least calming down on the east coast?
Hope things calm down so you can have breather soon.

Workouts are ok, but my strength on some lifts are just not up to par. I don't know wtf is going on? :( Yesterday was my off day and I had to take my daughter for a dr appt. at 3. They didn't friggin see her till almost 4:30...I was so pissed! If I didn't need a note for the school I would have left! I hate fukin doctors!
